Motorsport Club – Terms & Conditions (Plain Language)

1. About the Club

• These terms apply to all children and young people taking part in the Motorsport Club.
• By signing up, parents/guardians agree to them on behalf of their child.
• Where parents and guardians are referenced in these terms and conditions, such responsibility shall be transferred to the participant iif the participant is over the age of 18.

2. Safety and Risks

• Sim racing and motorsport activities are safe when rules are followed, but like all sports there are risks (e.g. tiredness, bumps when getting in/out of rigs, or issues from screen use).
• By joining, you agree your child is fit and able to take part.

3. Health Information

• Please tell us about any medical conditions (e.g. epilepsy, asthma, injuries, allergies).
• Let us know if your child needs medication or special support.
• In an emergency, we may give first aid and/or call the emergency services.

4. Responsibility and Liability

• We are insured, but we cannot accept responsibility for injuries, loss, or damage unless caused by our proven negligence.
• Parents/guardians are responsible for children outside of official session times.

5. Behaviour and Equipment

• Children must follow instructions from staff for safety and fairness.
• Aggressive behaviour or misuse of equipment may lead to exclusion with no refund.
• Any deliberate damage will be charged to the parent/guardian.

6. Photos and Videos

• We sometimes take photos or videos for training and promotion.
• Tell us in writing if you do not want your child included in promotional photos/videos.

7. Data Protection

• We collect personal details (including health info) to keep children safe.
• Information is stored securely and only used for running the Club.
• We do not share data with third parties (unless legally required).
• You can ask to see, correct, or delete your child’s information at any time.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

• Cancel more than 7 days before a session = full refund.
• Cancel within 7 days = no refund (but we may reschedule if possible).
• If we cancel, you get a refund or a new date.

9. Agreement

By signing up, you confirm that:

• You have read and understood these terms.
• You accept the risks involved.
• You give consent for your child to take part.
